There is unrest in the forest,
There is trouble with the trees,
For the maples want more sunlight
And the oaks ignore their pleas.
The trouble with the maples,
(And they're quite convinced they're right)
They say the oaks are just too lofty
And they grab up all the light.
But the oaks can't help their feelings
If they like the way they're made.
And they wonder why the maples
Can't be happy in their shade.
There is trouble in the forest,
And the creatures all have fled,
As the maples scream "Oppression!"
And the oaks just shake their heads
So the maples formed a union
And demanded equal rights.
"The oaks are just too greedy;
We will make them give us light."
Now there's no more oak oppression,
For they passed a noble law,
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet, axe, and saw...

Personally, I need Rush music. It's my medicine, my drug, if you know what I mean. And it's also the strongest "virus", once you got it, it stays there with you forever.
And something a little bit more off-topic: in my thoughts, I tend to associate Rush with Porcupine Tree (a modern uk prog-rock band) regarding public penetration of their artistical concepts (music especially). Generally, people who listen to Rush, have also heard of Porcupine Tree. For me, this is the music that matters. It's purely art... And of course, not forgetting the others true artists: Vangelis, Burzum, Death, Emperor, and the men behind them. RIP Chuck

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
